Why did we dine here? – Atlantis Buffet Toucan Charlie’s is one of the leading casino buffets in Reno. The place was remodeled about 2 years ago and upgraded. We were in town for a conference, so we decided to see how good this buffet was. We drove up from San Francisco to Lake Tahoe, and added to our Road Trip Food Guide
Alas the Forest Buffet has closed during the Pandemic. It was replaced by Sapori Italian Kitchen.
The closest buffet is in Reno – Toucan Charlie’s Buffet at the Atlantis.
This buffet got downsized after the Pandemic to a Weekend Breakfast Buffet at Aveo during the summer. June-August, Saturday-Sunday.

Wynn Buffet has been one of the top buffets in Las Vegas for years. We have been there in the past and went back for dinner and lunch. 16 live action stations.
Best Buffet in the world?
In late 2019 we went back to the Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore Colony buffet. It changed name and upgraded in 2015. The interior is much more ornate and structured. After reading about the food options in 2019, we felt it remains the top buffet in Singapore, in from of Rise and The Line.

While not up to the level of the Caesar’s Bacchanal Buffet or Cosmopolitan’s Wicked Spoon, The Buffet at Aria is a solid buffet with a good selection.
Our top buffet in Vegas is the Bally’s Sterling Sunday Brunch
Why did we dine here? – The Bally’s Sterling Brunch Buffet is the one Vegas buffet that has been on our hit list for many years. We had not stayed over on a Sunday in Vegas for years.. Finally we got a chance during Defcon, which happened to be in the same hotel. How convenient.

Why did we dine here? – MGM Macau Rossio Buffet is the main buffet at this huge resort in Macau. Macau is China’s Las Vegas, and generates $44 billion in gambling revenue in 2014, compared to $6 billion in Las Vegas. Clearly Macau has become the biggest gambling area around. We stayed here for one night to see how the small country has changed.
Espetus Churrascaria is a Brazilian steakhouse serving Rodizio style food. They focus on meats straight from the fire brought to your table, continuously through the meal! You can stop the meat parade by flipping the table card to red. They have a salad and hot plate bar with lots of different options including asparagus, bean salad, eggplant, rice, beans, cod, and much more. Do not eat too much of this stuff otherwise you wonder have room for all the meat. Vegetarians should stay away.
Espetus Churrascaria has locations in San Francisco and San Mateo. We tried the brand new San Mateo location for dinner. It is all you can eat, with lunch going for $25.95 with 7 meat options, $37.95 on weekends. Dinner is $54.95 with 14 meat options. Kids are 50% off. Our last visit was in the Summer of 2014.
The Cosmopolitan was the latest and greatest hotel to open in 2011. Its buffet is called Wicked Spoon. Some have called it the next great buffet after Wynn and Bellagio, so we had to give it a visit. Our last visit was in the summer of 2014.
Whisk is a restaurant in the posh hotel Mira, which is renowned for having Edward Snowden, the US whistleblower, stay. This hotel is conveniently located in the middle of the main Hong Kong tourist district. We were originally going to revisit our favorite Sunday Brunch buffet, Conrad, but after having an even better buffet in Singapore, we decided to try something new and less expensive. Whisk is a Contemporary European the rest of the week.
Boneka is a restaurant in the posh St. Regis Hotel on Bali. We were in paradise and told by a friend that we had to try it. High end Sunday Brunch Buffet? We are there! This hotel is awesome, there would be no way we could afford to stay here.

They serve Asian, American, and other international dishes. Our last visit was in the summer of 2011 for Sunday brunch.

Best buffet in Las Vegas? Bellagio Buffet has been one of the top buffets in Las Vegas for years. They boast that they go through almost 1 million pounds of 28 day aged Prime rib a year and 1000 omelets a day. We have been there in the past and went back for lunch. Dinner adds prime rib, king crab, and other items.
The El Dorado Buffet is located in the El Dorado Casino, Downtown Reno. They have buffets for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and weekend Champagne Brunch. We were in search of the best buffet in Reno.
Decor, Vibe – The El Dorado Buffet is a much smaller location that many other buffets but still has lots of different food stations. Lots of locals, tourists, gamblers, and non gamblers. Lots of families and couples.
The Lodge Buffet is located in the Grand Sierra Resort, Reno. It was formerly known as the Reno Hilton. They have buffets for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch. There was a very long wait to get into the buffet and it was mid week.
