Since 1892, this has been America’s oldest and largest public market. A perfect place for breakfast, lunch or a snack. Get exposed to Amish and Pennsylvania Dutch. A must visit for anyone into food and history! Some vendors close early, so beware. A lot more history to this food market than our Ferry Building.
Our Favorites stores:
- Bassetts Ice Cream – Great Ice cream with lots of modern flavors like Matcha.
- Beiler’s Donuts and Salads – A must goto for donuts. Freshly made daily.
- Carmen’s Famous Italian Hoagies – Always a line for the cheesesteaks. No need to drive far to get a decent Philly cheesesteak.
DiNics – Roast Pork Sandwich – Really good pork sandwich. Very filling, so beware. Share or save some of it for later.
Iovine Brothers Produce – Very nice selection of produce and fruits. Prices on some items like oranges are a lot higher than SF
Kamal’s Middle Eastern Specialties – Smoothies, special juices, even celery juice.
Metropolian Bakery – Nice bakery items. Best Vegan Chocolate muffin we have had!
Miller’s Twist – Tasty pretzels. Try both original and cinnamon. Closes at 3:30pm on some days
Profi’s Creperie – Well done dessert crepes.
