We just happened to have the right timing and encountered this food Festival occurring in the middle of the Zhengyang Pedestrian Street. (正阳步行街) This festival occurs on the 3rd day of the 3rd month on the lunar calendar. 3rd of March is a traditional holiday for Zhuang minority people celebrated with singing and food. Zhuang people are in GuangXi province, which is the province Guilin is in. So, the street food festival is based on this tradition.
