Shangri-La Li Cafe Buffet is located in the Shangri-La hotel in beautiful Guilin, China. Guilin is famous for its unique scenery featuring beautiful limestone rock formations and the Li river delta. This area is a mecca for Chinese tourists and needs to be on more Western travel destinations.
Why did we dine here? – We were staying at this hotel and did not feel like looking for a breakfast place. We lucked out with this fairly inexpensive ¥121 (US$18) breakfast buffet filled with lots of variety.
Summary – Shangri-La Li Cafe Buffet serves up a wide variety of solid cuisine in a beautiful atmosphere.
Insider Tip – Dinner buffet is also available, but the excellent Shang Palace restaurant in this hotel shouldn’t be missed.
Cuisine – World Cuisine Buffet
Location – Guilin, China
Service – Fair service, with plate changes and some refills requiring prompting.
Verdict – Shangri-La Li Cafe Buffet is a no-brainer if you’re staying at this hotel. There are a few dining options near the hotel, so don’t even try to look for one.
Kids are half price.
