Why did we dine here? – Ahgassi Gopchang is a sister restaurant to Korean BBQ favorite: Kang Ho-dong Baekjeong. (Which we also love) The restaurant’s name means Young Lady Small Intestines, hence the additions of several ‘parts’ on the menu. We stuck to the regular stuff.
Insider Tip – Come early, it gets crowded
Cuisine – Korean
Location – Koreatown Los Angeles
Opened – 2013
Service – Ahgassi Gopchang had friendly service but it fell apart as the place got busy. You need to hail people after a while.
Verdict – Ahgassi Gopchang serves up some mean Korean BBQ, on the level that is not present in very many areas. This is definitely a great place to visit when you are in LA. Far better than the stuff in Northern California.

Ahgassi Gopchang Food Picks:
Banchan
Beef Combo (Small $59.99) with Prime beef brisket, Prime Marinated Seared Short Ribs, Prime Skirt Steak comes with lots of different banchan small dishes including several kimchi, vinegary soup, sweet yam, onions, salad, and chives.
The waiters cook the food at each parties’ table, making for a fun show. All the meats were great especially the Prime Marinated Short ribs. You do have some options for the meats.
Comes with egg soup and combo Kimchi Stew that makes this item good enough for 3 people.
Radish Kimchi Cold Noodle ($8.99) was well done with a mild broth and lots of tender noodles.
