Dalida is a Modern Mediterranean Restaurant in San Francisco’s Presidio. Dalida gets its name from a few places. In Polish-Yiddish it means dahlia, the official flower of San Francisco, but its also chef’s mother’s name. The food is a little Turkish, a little Greek, Armenian, Jewish, Arabic and Persian. The couple also runs the Mexican Restaurant Maria Isabel. The chef Sayat Oyzilmaz worked at Blue Hill at Stone Barns and joined the Le Bernardin. He’s probably best known around SF in working at Noosh and leaving. (Yes we ate there when they were cooking) The food is geared towards eating family style.
Why did we dine here? – Hummus Mediterranean Kitchen has become our goto place when looking for this type of food. They have expanded to four locations including Palo Alto, San Francisco and Mountain View.
