Why did we here? – This restaurant is located in the brand spanking new Ritz-Carlton Hong Kong, making it a no-brainer for those seeking out beautiful new restaurants. They received a surprising 2 Michelin stars in 2013.  Guess the food has improved since our visit in 2011.

Summary – Tin Lung Heen
Insider Tip – Reservations required. Peking duck and whole roasted pig require advanced ordering.

Cuisine – Modern Chinese Cantonese
Location – Kowloon, Hong Kong
Opened – 2011

Decor, Vibe – Tin Lung Heen is a beautiful restaurant with high ceilings and massive displays of art.

Menu

Tin Lung Heen’s Menu is a pretty standard classic Cantonese menu

Picks:

Tin Lung Heen Hong Kong Minced Peking Duck

Tin Lung Heen Hong Kong Peking Duck Carving

Peking Duck done two ways. The second way with minced Peking duck and lettuce cups was excellent. The first way was average.

Crispy Chicken was juicy, flavorful, and a must order.

Service – Tin Lung Heen was decent but not overly vigilant.

Value – Prices are high here, you are paying for the view and the new building.

AlternativesLung King Heen and many others.

Verdict – Tin Lung Heen has immense pressure to live up to the standards of this brand-new Ritz-Carlton hotel. Hopefully some day the food will match the view.

A cheaper alternative would be to order drinks at the bar upstairs.
