Horn BBQ Is a legendary barbecue restaurant in Oakland, California. It has 3.5 stars on yelp and had long lines at the old location whenever it’s open. A fire closed them down and made them re-open in April 2024 at 464 8th St. near Chinatown, Oakland at their former burger joint. You now order using the computer tablet by the entrance, then sit down.
Horn BBQ Definitely serves up barbecue that was not as good as the old location. Top-notch barbecue the San Francisco Bay area. Breakwater BBQ in El Granada is really good. 4505 in San Francisco is also good for ribs.
We recently ate at Midsmoke in Charlotte North Carolina and found their barbecue definitely superior.

Food Review:
Spare ribs ($14.50) by the half pound were a bit dry and not as good as the past. Barbecue sauce is on the sweet side and a bit watery. 7.5/10
Brisket ($17.50) for half pound was dry on our last visit, also not as good as the past. 6.5/10
Collard greens ($6 small) and pit beans ($6) are served in good quality. The greens were very good. The beans were large and hit a slight kick. 8.5/10
Old location
Beef Brisket sandwich ($18) was huge, easily twice the size of most of them out there. Lots of fat blending into the meat, tender and electable. 9/10
Beef Brisket costs $20 by the half pound.
Pulled pork sandwich ($16) was equally as large, also very tender meat. Not as good as the brisket. Pulled pork by the half bound was $15. 8/10
Mac & Cheese ($8) is very dense and cheesy. 8/10
