Restaurant Acchiardo is a small family run restaurant serving reasonably priced simple traditional French Provencal nicoise cuisine. It is located in Old Town district which is a maze-like labyrinth of small streets. This restaurant is listed in several travel guides.
Decor, Vibe – Rustic kitchen artifacts and old family pictures decorate this cramped family run restaurant. Many tourists and some locals were eating dinner.

Picks:
Fish Soup
Soupe de poissons (€9) Fish soup with croutons was a very good soup with a little kick from pepper. There was no actual fish in the soup. Bread came with the soup.
Soupe Aux Legumes (6) Vegetable Soup was also a good soup. Simple broth with lots of chopped vegetables and a dash of macaroni.
Frites (3.30) French Fries were an excellent side dish. We needed them for the steak.
Verre de vin (1.80) Rose wine is cheap and good all over France.
OK:
Escalope Maison
Escalope Maison (15) Breaded veal scallopini with cheese smothered in a tomato sauce. This was huge but had mostly flavor from the sauce. Anything breaded and fried usually tastes good! It came with a huge bowl of delicious green beans.
Spaguetti au gorgonzola (6.50) spagetti with gorgonzola cheese was a weird combination for us. We should have the Bolognaise.
Pans:
Beef Steak
Huge Salad
Tournedos Grille (13.50) Grilled loin steak was a pretty simple and small steak with low quality meat. The meat in the US is far better, so try not ordering stuff like this. Yes, Steak Frites may be better in the US. It came with a huge salad at least.
Acchiardo had friendly service with the server explaining the menu in English. There is English on the menu. Prices are very reasonable, making this place very popular. Food quality was decent but not in the upper ranks.
This restaurant is a good place to visit if you are looking for moderately priced food in a rustic atmosphere. Cash only. Try La Reserve for an awesome view and equally good food.
