Why did we dine here? – 7 Adams has 1 Michelin Star in 2024, making it a sought after reservation. 5 course menu was only $87, making it a good value.
7 Adams is named after the street address of the childhood home where Chef David Fisher grew up. He and Chef Serena Chow Fisher run the place, after leaving Marlena in Bernal Heights. 4.3 stars on Yelp.

Service – 7 Adams had excellent service, better than expected. No water glass is left unfilled. The menu is expertly decoded, etc.
Verdict – 7 Adams shows it deserves a Michelin star with its innovative cuisine and top notch service. The first 2 course were meh, but then things looked up from there. Prices are bound to go up.
6% surcharge per guest to cover San Francisco employer mandates. 20% service charge added on

Is this restaurant worth a 5 minute drive? Yes. 30 minute? Yes. 1 Hour? Maybe

1. Early Girl Tomato – serpentine cucumber, bonito, creme fraiche, dried koji was a beautiful, carefully prepared starter with top ingredients, but just did not work. 7/10

7 adams San Francisco Cured Hiramasa

2. Cured Hiramasa – ambrosia melon, jalapeno, toasted kombu was better than the first course, but a tiny sliver of melon with some kick. 7.5/10

7 adams San Francisco Plankton Spaghettini

3. Plankton Spaghettini – razor clams, gremolata, white wine was a fine looking and tasting pasta course. Larger portion size than the first 2. 8.5/10

3. Alternate Risotto was also a solid pasta course. Good portion size and not too creamy. 8.5/10

4. Mt. Lassen Trout jimmy nardello nage, celtuce, corn tuile had a perfectly cooked piece of fish accompanied with a slightly spicy sauce. 9.5/10

4. A5 Wagyu Ribeye – beef tongue, kobu miso, bone marrow sauce ($40 supplement) was bigger than expected and melted in your mouth. Very well done. 10/10

Roasted maitake mushroom, smoked sauce choron, parsely was set for the entire table. 9/10

5. Chocolate pear – creme fraiche cake, almond shortbread, pear sorbet had some really dark chocolate drops and nice sorbet. 8.5/10

5. Alternate Vegan sundae with coconut sorbet, hit the mark with different textures and flavors. 9/10
