Why did we dine here? – Valley Goat is a new restaurant from Chicago’s Girl and the Goat Chef Stephanie Izard and Boka Restaurant Group. Top Chef Winner, Iron Chef Gauntlet Winner, and James Beard Award Winning! She also runs Girl & The Goat Los Angeles. We loved our meal out there and couldn’t wait to give this nearby outpost a try, but Sunnyvale? This is located at the Treehouse Hotel Silicon Valley – Next door to the Google Cloud Building.
Complimentary 2-hour valet or self-parking available. We sat at the bar for our lunch.
Insider Tip – Book now to avoid future rush
Cuisine – New American
Location – Sunnyvale

Service – Valley Goat was reasonable at the bar. They helped us navigated the menu, pacing wasn’t great.
Verdict – Valley Goat serves up flavorful, imaginative familiar cuisine with lots of interesting twists to amp up flavor. This is a fun place and atmosphere for some good food, but not cheap.

Valley Goat Food Picks:
Tropical pop mocktail ($14) was fine but could have used more flavor. 8/10
pita + dips carrot-tahini dip . tzatziki ($19) had a nice hot fresh pita along with 2 dips. The Carrot-tahini had a slight kick and stood out. 8.5/10
the biscuits sesame butter . pickle relish ($14) was a fun dish with 4 small but well made biscuits. Sesame butter was more useful than the relish. 8.5/10
spiced fries tamarind chutney ($9) are more ordinary. Nothing bad about them, but nothing special.
shrimp salad avocado . mandarins . quinoa crunch . pickled veggies . limey-herby dressing ($24) looks like an ordinary salad with some large leaves but proves to be a solid combination of fresh veggies and shrimp. 8.5/10
Pork Belly Noodles – wood-fired pineapple, pickled veggies, chili crunch ($24) include eggless rice noodles in a mash up of flavors and textures with slightly over done pork belly. A very good dish. 9/10
