La Pizza Nice has served Italian cuisine including pasta, salads, and (You guessed it) pizza since 1956. Their menus do list English translations. They have 3 restaurants in Nice and one in Cannes. They have huge custom made ovens and use volcanic ash baking stones.
Decor, Vibe – Old traditional french decor with lots of dark wood decor and tables. Sidewalk seating was where most people sat. Lots of people watching as this street of shops is very busy.

Picks:
Salade Nicoise (12.50) Local mixed salad, tomatoes, celery, onions, radish, green pepper, anchovies, egg, tuna fish, olives is classic Provencal cuisine. The tuna was canned, but the salad was a nice healthy lunch dish with fresh greens.
OK:
Pizza Marguerite (€10.50) Tomato, cheese was essentially half a pizza. The cheese quality was average, crispy crust at first then it got a little soggy. We expected more here, but such is life.
Penne Carbonara (12.50) Cream sauce, bacon, egg yolk was a pasta cooked al dente with a rich sauce. A decent pasta but nothing very special.
Verre Rose (3.50) or Rose wine was good and cheaper than Ice tea.
Pans:
None
La Pizza had average service. The waiters were not particular friendly. The food quality was average, but at least was priced reasonably. We would search for a less touristy place next time.
La Pizza has English on its menus for fellow Americans.
