Why did we dine here? – New England Lobster Market and Eatery has been selling Maine lobsters, Dungeness crab and shellfish since 1986. They recently opened an
eatery in Burlingame’s hotel row area, just south of San Francisco Airport (SFO). Being a fan of crustaceans, we had to try this restaurant.
Insider Tip – Great place to purchase shellfish to go
Cuisine – Seafood
Location – Burlingame
Opened – 2012
Service – New England Lobster Market and Eatery is an order at the counter, bring you the food kind of place. The service was better than we expected.
Verdict – New England Lobster Market and Eatery serves up some fresh lobster. Definitely a must visit for lobster fans. A little more limited menu compared to Old Port Lobster shack.

New England Lobster Market and Eatery Food Picks:
Naked Lobster Roll ($17.50) All rolls & sandwiches come with slaw and TJ’s Chips. Excellent bun and lots of tender, fresh lobster. Not as much lobster as Old Port, but still adequate.
Crab Salad ($15) had a reasonable amount of fresh dungeness crab, could have had more.
Maine Lobster Platter – 1 1/4 lb. ($20) Served with TJ’s chips, slaw and a roll. Beautiful steamed lobster. About as pure as it gets. Messy but worth it. On another visit, we had the two pound lobster ($39) which was huge and still extremely sweet.
One dozen raw oysters ($25) contained several different of very fresh oysters. Cheaper than most restaurants and possibly fresher.
