Why did we dine here? – Larks is a popular restaurant in Ashland. We were here to see a theater performance at the legendary Shakespeare festival. This restaurant is located in the historic Ashland Springs Hotel, only 3 blocks from the theater. Larks opened in 2006 and has won several dining awards.
Insider Tip – The restaurant is busy right before a theater performance.
Cuisine – American
Location – Ashland, OR
Opened – 2006
Service – Larks had slow service even though the restaurant wasn’t very full. The waiter was competent and helped us navigate the menu.
Verdict – Larks is a good bet for decent food when you’re visiting this area. Make sure you drive to nearby Klamath Falls. A beautiful area full of wild life.
Larks Signature Dishes – Pork chop, salmon, fried chicken.
Larks’s Menu changes from time to time, though some signature dishes remain.
Larks Food Picks:
Classic Caesar Salad With Hearts Of Romaine, Aged Parmesan & Rosemary Croutons with chicken ($13) was a satisfying salad / meal, with lots of tender chicken.
Maple-balsamic Glazed Double Cut White Marble Farms Pork Chop with Apple Compote & Rosemary Roasted Sweet Potatoes ($26) is their signature dish and one of the best pork chops we’ve had in a long time. The sauce was fairly sweet and accented the perfectly cooked pork.
Cedar Plank Roasted Wild Salmon With Plum-ginger Coulis & Warm Feta-cucumber Orzo ($28) was a nice sized salmon fillet, cooked just right. A nice mound of orzo rounded out the dish.
