Why did we eat here? – Quipas is a restaurante de cocina peruana contemporánea ubicado in Lima, Peru. Not a big spot, about 12 tables and a bar counter. They serve lunch and dinner. This was our first dinner in Peru and a highly anticipated one that is rated at 4.9 on Google. (They do ask you to leave a review after you pay) A fellow foodie suggested we try this spot. We were trying to get the best of Peru, but without tasting menus.

Limon is a Peruvian restaurant in San Francisco’s Mission district serving Nuveo Latin Fusion. It has grown to 6 locations now. Our last visit was in summer 2026 to Burlingame location after we had visited Peru.
Why did we dine here? – La Costanera received One Michelin Star for 2012, raising the restaurant’s profile and putting it on our hit list. They focus on Peruvian cuisine and are located above the beach in Montara in a nice multi level building that housed The Chart House.
