Why did we dine here? – Valley Goat is a new restaurant from Chicago’s Girl and the Goat Chef Stephanie Izard and Boka Restaurant Group. Top Chef Winner, Iron Chef Gauntlet Winner, and James Beard Award Winning! She also runs Girl & The Goat Los Angeles. We loved our meal out there and couldn’t wait to give this nearby outpost a try, but Sunnyvale? This is located at the Treehouse Hotel Silicon Valley – Next door to the Google Cloud Building. Complimentary 2-hour valet or self-parking available. We sat at the bar for our lunch. Insider Tip – Book now to avoid future rush Cuisine – New American Location – Sunnyvale Opened – 2025 Service – Valley Goat was reasonable at the bar. They helped us navigated the menu, pacing wasn’t great. Verdict – Valley Goat serves up flavorful, imaginative familiar cuisine with lots of interesting twists to amp up flavor. This is a fun place and atmosphere for some good food, but not cheap. Is this restaurant worth a 5 minute drive? Yes. 30 minute? Yes. 1 Hour? Maybe Valley Goat Signature Dishes – Empanadas, Branzino, Pork Shank Valley Goat’s Menu has fun twists on American and other cuisines. […]

It was our first time in Chicago, so had to try all the hot spots and compare them to SF! You need to book 2 months in advance to get in here. We did not have reservations and walked in right when the place opened (4:30pm) and sat at the bar. The waiter said it was harder to walk in during the winter because outdoor seating is not present. Be sure to also check out: avec Cuisine – New American Location – Chicago West Loop Verdict – Girl & the Goat has a wide ranging New American menu with lots of inventive dishes. With its high 4.5 rating on Yelp, this place is still drawing a ton of people, both locals and tourists like us. It opened in 2010 and helped establish this neighborhood. The food was very good with most dishes accented playfully. While not amazing using San Francisco standards, this spot is definitely worth giving a try. Girl & the Goat Food Picks: Mojito ($14) was strong and balanced. The bartenders know how to make drinks […]
