The area is full of high quality Asian restaurants and shops. Their pho is some of the top in the SF Bay Area. This restaurant also has a location in Cupertino and added Palo Alto in 2023. Best Pho in San Francisco Bay Area Our last visit is in the Spring of 2026 when they added outdoor seating during the Pandemic. Pho Hanoi Elite was a high end try that closed. Decor is nicer than most Vietnamese restaurants. They have nice happy hour specials Mon-Thur 5-11pm. Insider Tip – Come hungry. Afterwards, get a Boba tea drink across the parking lot at cool Tea Lyfe. Cuisine – Vietnamese Location – San Jose Vietnamtown Opened – 2016 Service – Pho Hanoi had fair service. Not enough server = hail them to get stuff done. The young server did know the menu well. You pay by going up to the cashier. Verdict – Pho Hanoi serves up some of the best Vietnamese in the SF Bay Area. Excellent Pho and Bun Cha that we have not see anywhere […]

They moved in 2016 to this new outdoor mall. Parking is surprisingly difficult! It was recently featured on Check Please and feature 28-day aged prime steaks. They opened a San Francisco outpost in Bacar’s former digs, in mid September 2010. We hadn’t been there in many years, so it was time for a revisit. On our last visit during the 2020 Pandemic, we dined al fresco, outside at the Cupertino location. Lots of space between tables, silverware carefully wrapped up. This place is very expensive, definitely a special occasion spot. Meat Counter Decor, Vibe – Big lobby with beautiful wall of aging meat and meat counter for those who like to cook. Modern clean looking bar area. Elegant dining room with nice art and flower arrangements. Lots of couples, some big parties, with multiples generations from 30’s to 60’s dining. Alexander’s Steakhouse Menu Pictures Website Menu Picks: Excellent Bread Basket Yuzu Mojito ($13) was excellent. Lots of citrusy flavor, fresh mint, liquor, and a balanced unique cocktail. Moscow Mule ($16) was done right and VERY strong. county line farms baby […]

They have the usual Chinese dishes along with a fair amount of Traditional Shanghai dishes not served in most restaurants. Our last visit was December 2012. Check out the review of Jade Garden in China to see what real Shanghainese places serve. Another must visit restaurant in Shanghai, China is Fu1039.
