Our goals were to eat at authentic non-touristy places while fulfilling our wishes to try certain items. One of us is Vegan, so will see many options for vegans and vegetarians. Madrid Restaurant Review Website Yelp is somewhat useful for finding Madrid Restaurant reviews with a low review count. Trip Advisor and Google Search are helpful. The Fork is used to make many online reservations https://www.google.com/search?q=madrid+restaurants https://www.tripadvisor.com/Restaurants-g187514-Madrid.html Other places for the future trips: DiverXO, Cebo, Kuoco 360, Celicioso Hortalez, Sacha, Taberna La Carmencita. Buying a SIM card in Madrid 2023 We landed in Terminal 4 of Madrid’s airport and wanted to get our data fix quickly! Wanting to take Uber and avoid possibly scammy taxi cabs, we entered the arrivals hall and immediately took a right turn. WH Smith is a general store that sells a ton of SIM cards. They have a stand up front that only handles new arrivals like us. They sell 3 cards – Mas Movil, Lebara, or Lyca. The lady recommended Mas Movie, so we went with it. Have your Unlocked phone or MiFi router and passport ready. They will help you install and verify it […]

Isa is a french small plate (Tapas) restaurant in San Francisco’s Marina District named after the owner’s daughter. They’ve been serving this type of California influenced tapas since 2000. We like this cuisine as it lets you sample lots of different items. Plates are timed by the kitchen and meant to be shared with the table, family style. This is one of the better restaurants in this part of town. Front room Patio The restaurant has a stylish front room and bar area, and a fully enclosed patio in the back. The kitchen is small, so food comes out at differing rates depending on business. Menu pics Drink Menu Dessert Menu Picks: Seared Foie Gras ($18.50) with white peaches & a custard brioche had a large portion of Foie Gras. It was cooked well and the peaches provided a good balance. One of the better preparations around. Seared Dayboat Scallops ($18.50) with mash potatoes was one of their better dishes. The fresh scallops had carmelized tops and were cooked very well. The mash potatoes tasted great without being too buttery. Few places do this as well. Grilled Flat Iron Steak ($19.50) with watercress, potatoes, moutarde verte & a wine sauce […]
