Happy lamb hot pot replaced Little Sheep Mongolian Hot Pot is a hot pot restaurant in downtown San Mateo, right across from Walgreen’s during the Covid 19 Pandemic. The decor is majorly improved and they use serving robots. Prices have also gone up. Chinese hot pot is a fun meal where a pot of boiling broth at your table is used to cook meats, vegetables, and seafood. Cooking involves dipping the food in the boiling broth for 30 seconds to a couple minutes. They also have some pre-cooked BBQ and Rice, Dumpling, Pancake items on the menu. Our last visit was in 2021 when indoor dining reopened. See how hot pot is done in Beijing Nam Men Hot Pot Decor, Vibe – Happy Lamb Hot Pot has clean modern decor, surprising for a place like this. Bar area up front. Not like most Chinese restaurant, with clean bathrooms. This place gets crowded at night. Its popular has grown over the years. Foodnut agrees, it continues to be our go to place when we are in Southern California for Dim Sum. We have been to Sea Harbour Vancouver, Canada and to a location in Zhongshan  – Guangzhou, China, and had solid meals everytime, so it was a no brainer to come here. This restaurant group has about 30 locations in China. They are known as Harbour City Seafood Restaurant there – Dianping Page for Zhongshan location. This is an 18,000 sq ft HUGE restaurant. Sea Harbor serves dim sum during lunch, and traditional Cantonese dishes at dinner time. Our last visit was at the end of 2016. Prices were up over 2014. We found this restaurant better than Elite, King Hua, Lunasia, and several other Chinese restaurants we have tried in the San Gabriel Valley.
