Bouchon is a French bistro that is part of the Thomas Keller French Laundry empire. A more affordable way to taste his high quality food. This location is in Las Vegas Strip’s Venetian Resort-Hotel-Casino, Venezia Tower 10th floor, so it is far from the casino, and a pain to find! They have locations in Yountville and Coral Gables. .See our Bouchon Yountville for a longer review. Our last visit was in 2025 for dinner. The decor sets the mood, with colors, paintings, and a long magnificent French pewter bar, velvet banquettes, and antique light fixtures that set the stage for a French meal. Almost all the people here were from CES trade show. This Bouchon restaurant is larger and busier than Yountville. It also has a louder vibe. They have the Bouchon Bakery downstairs, which sells some of the best french bread and pastries around. Bouchon Vegas Menu Bouchon Dinner menu is pretty standard French. Steak Frites were $55 on the website, but was replaced with Steak Bouchon at $125! The French Blackboard menu features specials of the day. Prices are high so we skipped the expensive entrees and ordered a bunch of small plates. Website Menu Bouchon Food Picks: […]

Josephine Chez Dumonet is a popular old school Bistro in the 6th Arrondissement, St. Germain, not far from the Jardin du Luxembourg. It was open in 1898 and is run by 3rd generation Jean-Christian Dumonet. We came to this restaurant to feel what Paris felt like in the old days. They serve half portions so you can sample lots of cuisine. They are known for excellent boeuf bourguignon, steak tartare, and roasted saddle of lamb. Our first visit was in 2009 and we returned in 2024. Paris Trip 2024 Restaurant Reviews Decor, Vibe – Old world Paris with front bar area, banquettes, amber walls, classic lights, pantina tones, old posters. This place has not been updated in many years and shouldn’t be! Mostly Americans were dining. Folks were mostly in the 40-60 range. Tables are yours for the evening. Interesting, they do not answer the phone. We were late and couldn’t get a hold of anyone. Josephine Chez Dumonet Menu is short and concise. A section of cold starters and then meat entrees. Few options for vegetarians. They do have an English menu. Gone in 2024 was cassoulet, fish and some other dishes. They moved in 2016 to this new outdoor mall. Parking is surprisingly difficult! It was recently featured on Check Please and feature 28-day aged prime steaks. They opened a San Francisco outpost in Bacar’s former digs, in mid September 2010. We hadn’t been there in many years, so it was time for a revisit. On our last visit during the 2020 Pandemic, we dined al fresco, outside at the Cupertino location. Lots of space between tables, silverware carefully wrapped up. This place is very expensive, definitely a special occasion spot. Meat Counter Decor, Vibe – Big lobby with beautiful wall of aging meat and meat counter for those who like to cook. Modern clean looking bar area. Elegant dining room with nice art and flower arrangements. Lots of couples, some big parties, with multiples generations from 30’s to 60’s dining. Alexander’s Steakhouse Menu Pictures Website Menu Picks: Excellent Bread Basket Yuzu Mojito ($13) was excellent. Lots of citrusy flavor, fresh mint, liquor, and a balanced unique cocktail. Moscow Mule ($16) was done right and VERY strong. county line farms baby […]
