Deja Vu. We were last here about 15 years ago. Since then, prices have risen significantly. Steaks start at $70. it is Expensive, so let’s get that out of the way. The space is dark, clubby and loud with modern music. You can eat steak at Harris from a less. Frankly, I think it’s wise to order non-steak items. Yeah it is hard to cook a steak to high heat at home. But.. We saw one table sharing the lobster pot pie, $125 dollars for 3 people, for cheaper than the steaks here. You get a free fry appetizer, so don’t over do appetizers. We spend over $120 per person without drinks or dessert. We paid under $100 at Arquet the week before for a probably better meal. Michael Mina is all over this place, he was present when we were dining, shaking hands of several diners. Bourbon Steak Menu A wide variety of starters and appetizers from lobster corn dogs to Bone Marrow & Oxtail. Many steak options including American and Australian Wagyu. Expensive and Classic Mina Lobster Pot pie is still on the menu. Vegetarians have few options […]

Mountain View Amber India Restaurant serves Northern, Moghlai and Tandoori Indian cuisine. Locations in Mountain View, San Jose’s Santana Row, and San Francisco. They have a popular lunch buffet that we have tried at both the San Francisco and Mountain View locations. Our last visit was in the Summer of 2012. Mountain View San Francisco Decor, Vibe – Amber India is in a strip mall on El Camino Real in Mountain view. Lots of colorful artwork adorns this location’s walls. The place was filled with Silicon Valley types eating a quick lunch. A fair amount of Indians were present. The San Francisco location is next door to Downtown’s Ross store on Yerba Buena Lane near Market Street. The interior is far nicer at this location with a cool modern bar area. Amber India Menu Pictures (Click to zoom into any picture) The menus are similar between location, yet the San Francisco restaurant’s prices are slightly higher. Website Amber India Menu Food Picks: Salads Vegetarian Dishes – Dal Tadka (Stewed Lentils), Pacharari Stew (Mixed Vegetables in Coconut Sauce and Potato Gravy), Palak Khumb (Spinach and Mushrooms), Paneer aur Makhana ka Khurchan (Scrambled Cottage Cheese cooked in onion tomato sauce) Entrees – […]

Fleur de lys is a long-standing French restaurant from Hubert Keller, who also owns Burger Bar and is featured on a PBS television show. They received one Michelin star in 2011. The last time we were here, perhaps 8 years ago, we were very impressed, so we had high expectations. Why did we dine here? – We were celebrating a special occasion and had not been here in many years. A good enough excuse.. Summary – Fleur de lys is a beautiful restaurant that is clearly quite popular. We were not as impressed this time out. They have gotten commercial and operate on cruise control. Insider Tip – Make reservations. Cuisine – French, New American Chef – Hubert Keller Location – Downtown San Francisco Opened – 1975 Decor, Vibe – Fleur de lys features a beautiful canopy room with a large floral centerpiece, and rustic ornaments and paintings on the wall. The restaurant was filled with diners from the older set, with the restaurant almost entirely full at 6:30 PM.
