One of the top restaurants in SF.. Especially for service. Quince is a high end restaurant in San Francisco’s Jackson Square area, near the Financial District run by chef-owner Michael Tusk. He graduated from the Culinary Institute of America, has cooked extensively in Europe, and used to work at Stars, Oliveto, and Chez Panisse. Our last visit was in Summer 2026, when we found the food better than the year before. What kind of food does Quince serve. They serve modern California cuisine with northern Italian influences with Alice Waters inspired freshness. This restaurant focuses on local, organic, seasonal ingredients. Quince SF has a fantastic casual Italian restaurant next door with a huge fancy parklet – Cotogna. Quince Decor, Vibe – This is a modern elegant, dimly lit romantic restaurant with stylish chandeliers, exposed brick in the back, and high ceilings. Large main dining area with peripheral area in the back, long bar to the side, lounge in front, and a private dining room. Huge 10,000-bottle wine cellar. Clearly this is an special occasion restaurant. After receiving 3 Michelin stars, they are no doubt a major destination of foodies visiting from around […]

Upscale IFC Shopping Center – Glitzier than any USA Mall Lung King Heen (View of the Dragon) is a top rated Michelin restaurant in Hong Kong, with 2 stars now, making this like the French Laundry of Hong Kong. Using your iPhone in Hong Kong with eSIMs helps you stay connected. Controversy erupted after the decision, with some in Hong Kong questioning the ratings. Over the years, they have continued to make believers, as other restaurants have come and gone from the 3 star list. Tang court is the only Chinese restaurant with 3 stars in 2025. Lung King Heen is located on the 4th floor of the posh Four Seasons Hotel on Hong Kong Island, and is connected to the ultra high end International Finance Center – IFC shopping mall complex. Needless to say, we have eaten here on every trip we have had since they first got 3 stars. Our last visit for lunch was at the Spring of 2025. Prices have gone up and the selection of items adjusted. If you have a short stopover in Hong Kong, you can take the MTR express […]

(Ranked #24 in the world) Chef Daniel Humm is well known for his outstanding food presented in a fun manner, as well as the well trained waitstaff. Eleven has won the prestigious Ferrari Trento Art of Hospitality Award for its great service. The Immaculate Kitchen Be sure to ask for the tour of the beautiful kitchen! Beautiful atmosphere in the middle of the wine country, superb service, and of course great food. You could argue that this restaurant or that restaurant has a better beef course or appetizer, but few have the exquisite combination of everything. The French Laundry is a legendary restaurant located in the Napa Valley town of Yountville California, Ground Zero for some of the best restaurants in California. They opened in 1994 and have been legendary ever since. The restaurant received three Michelin stars in 2012 and is at the top of many best restaurant lists. He focuses on the best ingredients and does not discuss prices with suppliers. This was our first visit in way too many years. T’ang Court is a 3 Michelin star restaurant in the ritzy Langham Hotel in Hong Kong’s touristy Tsim Sha Tsui district. It got upgraded from 2 to 3 stars in 2016. Our last visit was in 2020 for dim sum lunch when we stayed upstairs and could just walk right in. (Protests worried visitors.) We previously ate there in 2011. They focus on modern Chinese cuisine with a focus on elegant T’ang Dynasty decor.
