This restaurant opened nearly 50 years ago and is located in an old firehouse. We were passing by the area and stumbled upon this restaurant after doing a little research. This area is filled with tourist traps, something we definitely wanted to avoid. Decor, Vibe – The Firehouse has classic old-school decor with huge paintings, elegant chandeliers, and classic booth seating inside. Lunch was being served in their garden courtyard covered by majestic trees. Walled off with tall brick walls covered with ivy, big band music played on the speakers. Diners included many tourists and older locals that were probably regulars. The California Chamber of Commerce is having a power lunch here. Menu Menu has a wide variety of items with a vegetarian option. Signature Dishes – The Waiter stated seafood items are their specialties.
