Limon is a Peruvian restaurant in San Francisco’s Mission district serving Nuveo Latin Fusion. It has grown to 6 locations now. Our last visit was in summer 2023. Martin Castillo opened Limon with Emmanuel Piqueras from three Michelin star Arzak restaurant in Spain. Decor, Vibe – Modern citrus-hued interior, large pieces of art adorn the walls, open kitchen, communal table, lounge tables, new bar, and counter space up front. Smaller dining area on an upstairs mezzanine floor. Hot scene, crowded, and loud with lots of well dressed non Mission types in their 30’s and 40’s. This place could get transported to another neighborhood and you would not see a difference. Limon Menu The menu at Limon is wide ranging, from Cerviche to rotisserie chicken to many other dishes.  Several items for vegetarians. Service in 2023 was not good. We waited a long time to order and for our chicken to arrive. Limon Food Picks: 1/2 Chicken with 2 sides was of reasonable size with 2 nice sides that required extra $2, yucca fries and chifa vegetables.  The vegis were far too salty and required us to send it back. 7/10 Vegetarian Lomo Saltado was a nice variant on the classic.  […]
