Pearl’s Deluxe Burgers is a nondescript burger joint using natural beef. You can get buffalo, beef, chicken, turkey, and veggie burgers. They also have hot dogs and salads, but frankly you come here for burgers, fries, shakes, etc. Pearl’s uses Niman ranch meat. They used to have several locations including Pearl’s Phat Burgers in Mill Valley’s, that have since closed. Our last visit was in the Fall of 2018. Foodie note: It is almost next door to Borobudur, the only real authentic Indonesian Restaurant in SF Several new regional chains have appeared in San Francisco, Roam Artisan burgers and Super Duper. We think Pearl’s is not only better, its cheaper! Decor, Vibe – Pearl’s Deluxe Burgers is a small cramped interior, clean. Not a lot of tables. Families, couples, small groups crowding into the place. Pearl’s Deluxe Burgers Menu pics (Click to zoom in on any picture) Pearls Deluxe Burgers has several different burgers and vary in size and allow customization. They also have specially named burgers that are pre-configured. Pearls Deluxe Burgers Picks: Deluxe Bacon Cheeseburger The half pound Deluxe Burger ($7.49) with bacon and cheddar cheese […]

Why did we dine here? – Cavalier is a British style restaurant in downtown San Francisco from Anna Weinberg, James Nicholas and Chef Jennifer Puccio, owners of the restaurants Marlowe and Park Tavern. They’ve done a great job in the past, so it was time to give their latest venture a try. This restaurant is next door to the San Francisco Centre Shopping Complex, making it very convenient. Chef Puccio was present when we dined here for lunch. The interiors deep red color scheme with lots of conservative wood, sets the scene. This hotel / restaurant has the weirdest bathroom divider we have ever seen. A dark brown see-through glass separates the men’s and women’s bathroom. There is space around it for sound to travel. We kept hearing voices from somewhere and were wondering if someone was hiding in the bathroom. Surreal. Insider Tip – Lunch is less costly than dinner. Cuisine – British American Pub Location – Downtown San Francisco Opened – 2013 Service – Cavalier was professional but at times not very present. He did help us navigate the menu and order the better dishes. Hopefully this will be addressed. Verdict – Cavalier still has some growing pains. […]
