We were here for one night and decided to give this legendary restaurant a try. This small restaurant, run by chef Greg Murphy, is extremely cozy and has a homey atmosphere. The open kitchen is not very big and is located right next to the dining area. Insider Tip – Be sure to visit the new Santa Barbara farmer’s market, which is located a block away. Cuisine – California – French Location – Santa Barbara downtown Opened – 1998 Service – Bouchon had service that was friendly and helpful. They helped us order and we had no issues with refills and the like. Verdict – Bouchon is definitely a top spot in Santa Barbara. The quality of the food was high and surprisingly their portion size is extremely liberal. Is this restaurant worth a 5 minute drive? Yes. 30 minute? Yes. 1 Hour? Maybe.
