It costs about US$44 per person and has a wide variety of items. I presume the same kitchen prepares this food as next door. It is open 11am-330pm. Online reservations are through their Facebook page. Hack to Comfortably take 2 Machu Picchu Routes done in 1 day! This restaurant is great if you have 2 different tickets for the same day at Machu Picchu. You can go do route 8am Route 1C – Panoramico, Ruta Portada Intipunku – Sun Gate Eat lunch at Tinkuy – rest, recharge, hit the restrooms, and then take in your afternoon hike. Route 2A Circuito Clasico – Classic Citadel at 13:00 No need to take the long winding bus ride to Aguas Calientes plus this meal is A LOT cheaper than staying at the Sanctuary Lodge next door. Tinkuy is a Quechua word that means a meeting, gathering.

Why did we eat here? – We were staying at the Tambo del Inka and had their Breakfast Buffet. Normal cost is $30 per person, it’s discounted to USD$18 for Bonvoy members and free with select credit card bookings. This is one beautiful hotel that lies under the Marriott banner. The hotel ground are huge and impressive plus it is located across the street from the city. Highly recommended when you visit the Sacred valley. We decided to hit the buffet because of the vast selection and reasonable cost. Food stations include a Chinese one, kids, bread and pastries, gluten free items, condiments, cooked items, cereals, fruits, and more. Allergens are clearly labeled for each dish. This buffet is far better than our previous hotel, the JW Marriott Lima. A breakfast Menu is available for ordering at no extra cost. Everything from omelets, avocado toast to Pan de Chicharron sandwiches. The food quality was very good. Service was also very good. No worries about getting a beverage, ordering, etc. Everyone is extremely courteous here. Overall – Very Good Food – Very Good Decor – Excellent Service – Very Good Value – Good Would we return? – Yes

Not a big spot, about 12 tables and a bar counter. They serve lunch and dinner. This was our first dinner in Peru and a highly anticipated one that is rated at 4.9 on Google. (They do ask you to leave a review after you pay) A fellow foodie suggested we try this spot. We were trying to get the best of Peru, but without tasting menus. Check out our Peru 2026 Trip Restaurant Reviews Reservations are necessary but can be easily made online. The first diners at 7pm where all Americans! Menu is bigger than expected with lots of starters and entrees. English menu is available. Not a lot of vegetarian options. Come with a larger party to try more dishes. They take dietary restrictions seriously. The food was beautiful and was even better than expected. Dishes just worked. Even a special dessert was created on the fly to maneuver around a dietary restriction. Service was very good with folks passing by all the time. No the type of overwhelming service you get at a 3 star spot. Friendly with lots […]

We document our trip to Peru. Machu Picchu, Rainbow Mountain and a lot of eating in between. Lots of weird eats and unexpected new food finds. Pollo a la Brasa Cuy Alpaca Churros Pan con Chicharron Chicharron De Chancho – Tradicional Various fruits and vegetables We visited: Lima Cusco Urubamba Machu Picchu Be sure to read about our best meal in Peru – Quipas, Lima The Peruvian food was superior to that in the San Francisco Bay Area and much cheaper. The service is on the whole not as good.. Here are some quick mini reviews of places we ate at, so you can understand how Peruvian food compares, and so you select the best places on your visit. We focus on non-touristy, local food and avoid long tasting menus. We have full reviews for places we deemed important enough. 2026 Peru Restaurant Reviews Last Visit: 9/17/26 Manolo Av. José Larco 608, Miraflores 15074 Lima, Peru https://manolo.com.pe/ Why did we eat here? – We love churros and Manolo has been around since 1968 serving up all sorts of treats. It is located in the touristy […]

One of the top restaurants in SF.. Especially for service. Quince is a high end restaurant in San Francisco’s Jackson Square area, near the Financial District run by chef-owner Michael Tusk. He graduated from the Culinary Institute of America, has cooked extensively in Europe, and used to work at Stars, Oliveto, and Chez Panisse. Our last visit was in Summer 2026, when we found the food better than the year before. What kind of food does Quince serve. They serve modern California cuisine with northern Italian influences with Alice Waters inspired freshness. This restaurant focuses on local, organic, seasonal ingredients. Quince SF has a fantastic casual Italian restaurant next door with a huge fancy parklet – Cotogna. Quince Decor, Vibe – This is a modern elegant, dimly lit romantic restaurant with stylish chandeliers, exposed brick in the back, and high ceilings. Large main dining area with peripheral area in the back, long bar to the side, lounge in front, and a private dining room. Huge 10,000-bottle wine cellar. Clearly this is an special occasion restaurant. After receiving 3 Michelin stars, they are no doubt a major destination of foodies visiting from around […]

It is one of our favorite places as it is pretty consistent.. Always a candidate for the short list of best restaurants. It earned One Michelin Stars last in 2015 and lost it after. Nancy Oakes open Boulevard, a New American/French comfort food restaurant way back in 1993. She opened nearby Prospect in 2010. Alumni Ravi Kapor now runs Liholiho Yacht Club. Our last visit was in the summer of 2026 where we found the food quality still very good. Boulevard’s busy Kitchen in Action Boulevard Decor, Vibe – Pat Kuleto design with an “intimate Belle Epoque aesthetic”. Cool ceiling in the front, with thin bricks adorning the ceiling. Couples, business people, and groups were all enjoying the fine food. The decor was updated in 2021 before they re-open during the pandemic. Boulevard has been voted most popular by the old Zagat’s guide for years. The place was packed when we entered at 6pm. If you don’t have a reservation, you can get a seat at the bar or better yet, the kitchen counter, while they last. If you […]
