The Caesars Bacchanal Buffet was the latest and greatest buffet to open in 2012. They spent $100 million to create the best buffet in Vegas. 25,000 square feet of gluttony. Some have called it the next great buffet after Wynn and Bellagio, so we had to give it a visit. The only other top rated buffet we have not tried in Vegas is the Palms AYCE. We’ve been here several times. How would this buffet compare to the competition in 2025 after the Pandemic? How would it compare to the best buffets FoodNut has been to in Conrad Hong Kong Sunday Brunch Buffet or Ritz Carlton Singapore Sunday Brunch Buffet Check out this review of Macau’s (Asia’s Las Vegas) MGM Macau Rossio Buffet Remember – There is a 90 minute limit to the gluttony. Bacchanal Buffet Reservation are via Opentable. There was a wait, when we visited for dinner in 2025, even though we had reservations. $84.99 a person for dinner, $87.99 on the weekends. Discount for Rewards Members. No senior discount or military discount. Brunch is a little cheaper. No more low cost breakfast buffets! Soft drinks, tea, coffee, water. You […]

Bouchon is a French bistro that is part of the Thomas Keller French Laundry empire. A more affordable way to taste his high quality food. This location is in Las Vegas Strip’s Venetian Resort-Hotel-Casino, Venezia Tower 10th floor, so it is far from the casino, and a pain to find! They have locations in Yountville and Coral Gables. .See our Bouchon Yountville for a longer review. Our last visit was in 2025 for dinner. The decor sets the mood, with colors, paintings, and a long magnificent French pewter bar, velvet banquettes, and antique light fixtures that set the stage for a French meal. Almost all the people here were from CES trade show. This Bouchon restaurant is larger and busier than Yountville. It also has a louder vibe. They have the Bouchon Bakery downstairs, which sells some of the best french bread and pastries around. Bouchon Vegas Menu Bouchon Dinner menu is pretty standard French. Steak Frites were $55 on the website, but was replaced with Steak Bouchon at $125! The French Blackboard menu features specials of the day. Prices are high so we skipped the expensive entrees and ordered a bunch of small plates. Website Menu Bouchon Food Picks: […]

Why did we dine here? – Lotus of Siam is a legendary Thai restaurant that most foodies in the US know of. James Beard Award winning restaurant. We have been putting off visiting this famous spot for many years. Having dined at most of the famous Las Vegas restaurants, we felt it was high time to finally visit Lotus of Siam. Anthony Bourdain recently featured this restaurant on his television show. Saipin Chutima, is the owner and chef. She uses family recipes with a northern Thai focus to produce some of the best Thai food around. We first ate here in 2014. They relocated in 2018 to a. stand alone location closer to the Strip. Our last visit was in 2025. Lotus of Siam has become more popular, often times requiring reservations on Opentable in advance. Insider Tip – Come early as there are no reservation during lunch. Make reservation for dinner ahead of time. Cuisine – Thai Location – North Las Vegas Opened – 1999 Service – Lotus of Siam had surprisingly solid service that could have easily been dismal. The waiter helped navigate the menu, work around dietary requirements, and took care of our needs. Verdict – […]

Large assortments of food from around the world lets us try items that we would never order. High end buffets with everything from Prime Rib to Lobster to Foie Gras to Souffles are always on our hit list. Foodnut values quality in addition to quantity, so forget about Golden Corral. Buffets originated in France, where French hosts would set up tables full of food so diners could help themselves during parties. This concept grew and was super sized in Las Vegas. Buffet Optimization Tips Walk the entire buffet and start with the most appealing items With each plate, your level of happiness decreases Try food you would never order. You may like it! Do not fill up on bread, soup, water Take only what you will eat Do not try to eat enough to make it worth it – You’ll just feel bad later Here is our Best Buffet in the World List – a work in progress.. 1) Ritz Carlton Colony Singapore Sunday Brunch For some reason, Singapore is a country full of buffets.

Why did we dine here? – Raku is a popular Japanese restaurant in Las Vegas. Some friends loved this place and suggested we dine there. Raku are located about 15 minutes from the strip, right in the middle the Chinatown strip mall area. Chef Mitsuo Endo has been packing them in for many years. Insider Tip – Make reservation ahead of time Cuisine – Japanese Izakaya Location – Las Vegas Opened – 2008 Service – Raku had very good service. The folks know the menu well and can help steer you to the favorites. Verdict – Raku impressed us. Excellent food, real binchotan charcoal, wide variety at reasonable prices. Better Japanese Izakaya than most places in the San Francisco Area. Cheaper and way better than Pabu in San Francisco. No wonder it is a late night favorite of chefs. Get in a cab and get off the strip now! Keep some room. Be sure to visit sister dessert place: Sweets Raku in the same strip mall complex. That restaurant smells like a warm cookie shop. Yum! Try their 2 course set menu dessert for $15. The egg batter Fried Olives ($4) are unique and a must try. Reservations by phone […]
