Darla’s closed in 2011. Go hit Pearls instead.
Darla’s Restaurant is an informal diner in San Francisco’s Inner Sunset district. Their motto is “Possibly the Best Burger Around”. We had to give it a try.
Decor, Vibe – Plain place with some paintings, plants, plain chairs and tables, and the radio on.

Darla’s Menu has a wide range of food from breakfast standbys to burgers to sandwiches to dinner entrees like Prime Rib.
Picks:
Bacon Cheddar Burger ($7.95) with 1/3 lb. premium beef and served on a French roll with mayo and french fries. It was a good sized juicy patty cooked to our desired medium rare. Decent meat quality but no special angus flavors. Ordinary bacon and cheese. Fries were thin and decent but heavily salted.
Salmon Burger ($8.95) with Jack and honey sauce with split pea soup came as an ugly looking salmon patty that tasted pretty good. Split pea soup is probably out of a can but fair quality.

Darla’s had average service with the server coming by every so often. We did get refills unprompted. You do get tasty brownies with the bill. If you want the best burger in the city not a possibility of one, hit Pearl’s.
Kid’s Menu available.
