McDonalds opened this Next Generation store in Hong Kong in 2016, making it the only one of its kind in the world. Sleek modern black interior, self ordering kiosks, special Create Your Taste customizable burgers, special make to order salads, special items, table service, wireless chargers in the tables and more!  They are open 24 hours. We returned to this location in 2020.

The table service is supposed to begin at 6pm, but we dined earlier and they brought us our food.

Special Burgers

McDonalds needs to kick up its game to remain relevant, and this location is the first iteration of major changes. We did not see many people ordering salads, with so much on the healthy menu even in Hong Kong..

Service:
The customized burgers took about 5 minutes to arrive, not exactly fast.

Food Picks:

Cheesy Champion Thick Cut Angus Burger (HK$46.50) – Was good but not great. Meat quality and patty thickness was evident. We would take an In N Out burger over this any day.

Ciabatta Crayfish Cheese (HK$31) was surprisingly good.

Lemon Sea Salt Soda (HK$19.50) Was really good. Not really salty!

French Fries with seaweed

Matcha Affogato (HK$21) had really strong Matcha. Nicely done.

Strawberry White Chocolate (HK$28) was also a good drink.

Just OK:
Red Bean Pie (HK$8)

Pans (Don’t Order):

Apple Pie a la mode (HK$12.50) – Just too mushy
