Todam Tofu House Picks:
BBQ Kalbi ($11.99) or marinated beef rib-eye was sizzling hot and had good flavor. Cheap but not very large. Included purple rice cooked in a stone bowl.
Side dishes (10) were about average. Never asked about refills.
Dol Sok Bi-Bim Bop ($11.99) with beef, assorted vegetables, fried egg was very greasy making it taste almost buttery. Quantity was on the generous side.
Mushroom Soft Tofu ($7.99) with tofu boiled with 2 types of mushrooms, shitake and button. Sizzling hot, raw egg cracked on top, good broth.
Todam Tofu House had terrible service, only 2 servers for the entire restaurant. Food was decent but not great. Myung Dong Tofu Cabin in Foster City has some better food.
