Why did we dine here? – Choi’s Korean Restaurant was recommended to us by a Korean friend, so we had high expectations. This restaurant is located in the Koreatown area of Santa Clara. Clearly this used to be a fast food joint that has been slightly retrofitted.
Insider Tip – Visit the Lawrence Health Center Spa across the street first!
Cuisine – Korean
Location – Santa Clara, El Camino near Lawrence Expressway

Service – Choi’s Korean Restaurant had typical Korean restaurant drop and go service. Things were better when the place was not busy.
Verdict – Choi’s Korean Restaurant serves up very good Korean cuisine. We plan to come back to explore more of the menu. Our favorites in this area include Gooyi Gooyi, Kunjip, and Tobang.
Choi’s Korean Restaurant Signature Dishes – Galbi, Tofu soup
Choi’s Korean Restaurant’s Menu has all the classic dishes you would expect, all though the menu is quite small. They have a daily special that changes during the week.
Choi’s Korean Restaurant Food Picks:
Banchan included 6 items plus a soup and a dessert soup at the end.
GalBi Tang ($8.49) – a spicy soup with vegetables and beef short ribs was the special of the day. Not particularly large, but good enough for lunch and of high quality.
Sun GalBi ($11.50) – grilled tender marinated short ribs were top notch. Nice flavors along with good quantity.
