Gialina Pizzeria is a small pizzeria named after the chef-owner’s grandmother. It is opened in January 2007 and is located in San Francisco’s Glen Park neighborhood right near BART. Chef Sharon Ardiana has help positions at well respected places including Lime, Dine, Garibaldis, Slow Club, and Boulevard. Her next restaurant, Ragazza in the Metro Kathmandu space on Divisadero, will be opening soon.
Speederia Pizzeria is located in the Laurel St shopping district in sleepy San Carlos. We have been here several times with our last visit in August 2010.

Donato Enoteca is an Italian Restaurant in downtown Redwood City, located right next to City Hall. They serve modern Italian focusing on fresh, simple ingredients, and focusing on the chef’s Donata Scotti (formerly of La Strada) Northern Italian roots. Our last visit was in the middle of 2010. Since 1932 Toto’s has been serving neapolitan pizza. They have restaurant locations in San Bruno and Belmont. They have a to-go only facility in San Mateo. We tried the San Mateo branch. This local chain has 10 locations in the San Francisco Bay Area. We reviewed the San Mateo location. They use brick ovens and use the slogan “A taste of New York”
Amici’s serves pizza, Pasta, Salads, and Sandwiches. People come for the pizza, so we went straight to the draw.
