Morimoto Napa is a Japanese restaurant run by world famous television Iron Chef Masaharu Morimoto. This celebrity chef, who also worked at Nobu, is known for his whimsical twists on Japanese cuisine. The restaurant has gotten lukewarm reviews from the major San Francisco food critics, so we came expecting a lot of flash and little substance. He has outposts around the world including in India and Hawaii. We had lunch at Morimoto Napa.
ubuntu is a vegetarian restaurant located in Downtown Napa. “A celebration of our own biodynamic gardens, what shows up at the door and relationships with the local farms in Napa.” Chef Jeremy Fox (Manresa, Rubicon, Charles Nob Hill) originally put this restaurant on the foodie map, but left in February 2010. ubuntu serves up innovative vegetable-inspired daily-harvested cuisine for both omnivores and herbivores. Gott’s Roadside Formerly Taylor’s Automatic Refresher Restaurant Review, San Francisco
Posted by Foodnut.com, June 24th, 2009
Gott’s Roadside formerly Taylor’s Automatic Refresher is a classic burger joint with 2 locations in the Wine country and one in San Francisco. They were forced to change their name in 2010. We have dined at the San Francisco Ferry Building location and the Napa location next to the Oxbow Market. This place serves burgers, sandwiches, and the like. They have a pretty big beer and wine menu for a burger place. We’ve eaten burgers here several times, which are average, and it was time for a change.
Decor, Vibe – Gott’s has classic diner decor. Busy Ferry building location with lots of tourists and locals looking for a fast lunch. Both have patio dining for sunny days.
