Shanghai 1930 Restaurant Review, San Francisco
Posted by Foodnut.com, October 15th, 2009
Shanghai 1930 closed at the end of 2009.
Shanghai 1930 is a fancy Chinese restaurant and bar in the Embarcadero area. They focus on Shanghainese Chinese food and try to replicate Shanghai China in the 1930′s. They have free live Jazz Monday through Saturday evenings. We’ve eaten here several times and find the food expensive and average. Coming to the bar for Jazz, Cocktails, and some small nibbles is what we prefer to do. Read the rest of this entry »

Espetus Churrascaria is a Brazilian steakhouse serving Rodizio style food. They focus on meats straight from the fire brought to your table, continuously through the meal! You can stop the meat parade by flipping the table card to red. They have a salad and hot plate bar with lots of different options including asparagus, bean salad, eggplant, rice, beans, cod, and much more. Do not eat too much of this stuff otherwise you wonder have room for all the meat.
Espetus Churrascaria has locations in San Francisco and San Mateo. We tried the brand new San Mateo location for dinner. It is all you can eat, with lunch going for $24.95 with 7 meat options. Dinner is $49.95 with 14 meat options. Kids are 50% off. Our last visit was in 2012. Read the rest of this entry »

We are fans of restaurant Michael Mina and heard he opened a new bar in the Westin St Francis, so we had to check it out. The bar chef trend is riding high in San Francisco.
