Shalizaar is a Persian Cuisine restaurant in Belmont. It moved here from a smaller location in San Mateo, which is now home for Tannourine. They specialize in Persian Kabobs. Why did we dine here? – Caprinos is a long-standing Italian restaurant in Belmont that in March, 2011 became home to chef Gator Thompson. (Gators Neo Soul, several unsuccessful short stints after that) We were passing by and decided to see how his influence was taking shape. Godfather’s Burger Lounge opened in Belmont, December 2009 right on busy El Camino Real just south of the Ralston Ave. They focus on ½lb. fresh, all-natural “Certified Angus Beef” humanely raised burgers. toto’s Pizzeria Review

Since 1932 Toto’s has been serving ‘authentic’ Neapolitan pizza. They have restaurant locations in San Bruno and Belmont. The Belmont location is an order and sit type restaurant with no table service. They have a to-go only facility in San Mateo that we also dined at. Toto’s uses Baker’s Pride pizza ovens. China Village Seafood Restaurant is a Cantonese Chinese restaurant in Belmont, just off Highway 101. They have been around since 1996 serving dim sum during both lunch and dinner as well as standard Chinese cuisine. Dim sum costs more at dinner, presumably because it is freshly warmed up. We visited for a dim sum lunch and dinner. They use carts and servers to dish out their dim sum. They had 59 types of dim sum on their menu.
