Godfather’s Burger Lounge opened in Belmont, December 2009 right on busy El Camino Real just south of the Ralston Ave. They focus on ½lb. fresh, all-natural “Certified Angus Beef” humanely raised burgers. Bargain of the century! Capannina is a small Italian restaurant is on Union Street that was featured on Check Please. The place looked attractive, so we decided to give it a try.
Sister restaurants include Cafe tiramisu, Belden Taverna, Brindisi Cucina, and Brio.

Saison Restaurant Review, San Francisco

Saison (French for “season”) is a Michelin starred restaurant in San Francisco that focuses on a singular 8 course prix fixe meal each evening using local, specifically identified, and sustainable ingredients.
This style considers different elements of the ingredients, incorporating influences from its native environment and leveraging primitive techniques like ember and ash cooking. They earned one Michelin star in 2011.

Bouchon Bakery, Yountville

Bouchon Bakery in Yountville is a fabulous place we love to visit whenever we are passing through the wine country. This location is situated right next door to Bouchon in Yountville. They even bake for the legendary French Laundry. Here are some photos of their delectable products.

Rosamunde Sausage Grill is a small Sausage restaurant in the colorful lower Haight district of San Francisco with an additional larger location in the Mission district. This Place has a cult like following. Sort of like Vancouver’s Japadog.  They serve grilled sausages on french rolls. You can select 2 free condiments from sauerkraut, grilled onions, peppers, or spicy beef chili. They also sell uncooked sausages, which we took advantage of one time.

Japanese Izakaya is hot in the SF Bay Area right now.. Yakitori Kokko is a new Japanese Izakaya or drinking oriented establishment (like Sumika) that serves casual food focusing on skewers of meat. It is run by Japanese folks and feels pretty authentic. Yakitori means chicken grill, so the focus is on charcoal grilled meats. The place has gotten some good buzz, so we decided to give it a try.

Palo Alto Creamery Fountain and Grill at Stanford has been serving up classic burger joint food since 1988 when Robert Fischer took over the business. They have 2 locations in Palo Alto, with the downtown location open since 1923 in previously known as the Peninsula Creamery. We visited the location in the Stanford shopping center. They specialize in classic American food including burgers and ice cream fare. They serve breakfast, salads, sandwiches, and dinner entrees after 4pm. Z&Y Restaurant is a Sichuan restaurant in San Francisco’s Chinatown that focuses on spicy dishes. Chinatown is a Cantonese community, so finding a good Sichuan restaurant here is an unlikely proposition. The place was full so we decided to give it a try.
