This local chain has 10 locations in the San Francisco Bay Area. We reviewed the San Mateo location. They use brick ovens and use the slogan “A taste of New York”
Amici’s serves pizza, Pasta, Salads, and Sandwiches. People come for the pizza, so we went straight to the draw.
They had a bunch of delivery cars out back, so they must have a big delivery business.
Decor is average, nothing memorable. This location is pretty cramped and has only 1 shared bathroom.

OK:
The Amici’s Combo pizza 10in ($16.25) took about 20 minutes. It has Pepperoni, Meatball, Bacon, Sautéed Mushrooms, Black Olives. A little soggy in the middle. Lots of toppings, edge crust was crunchy but not great. This was a pretty average pizza, edible, but nothing special. The similar styled pizza at Toto’s is a better bet. If you like artisan or deep dish style pizza, look elsewhere.
Cheese Pizza (Mini $7.75) was very cheesy but had a layer of grease on top. No way we could eat it without padding it down. Good way to continue childhood obesity.
Pans:
Linguini pasta with Butter sauce ($5.75) was pretty bland and oily. Cheap food for kids though. The marinara sauce is healthier. Soda was $1.75 extra.
Amici’s service was ok only after waiting for a long time. It was quite clear they were overloaded. Several wine and beer options. Only 2 dessert options. You can order online for delivery. Half bakes pizzas are also available. Amici’s also has a kid’s menu. Corkage is only $8.
