Haandi Restaurant is a moderately priced restaurant that specializes in North Indian Frontier cuisine and has locations in London, Nairobi, Kampala, Dar es Salaam & Sudan. They also do banquets and catering. It is is named after the narrow-necked cooking pots used in Northern Frontier Indian cuisine. Dosa is a South Indian Restaurant with 2 locations in San Francisco. We had dinner at the several month old Fillmore street location, which is across the street from the Sundance Theater in Japantown.

Vik’s Chaat Corner is a busy Indian restaurant in the more industrial area of Berkeley. Chaat means “to lick”. Traditionally this is known as road side snacks that made people lick every last morsel.
