This local operation has 3 locations in the San Francisco Bay Area. We reviewed the San Mateo location. They use the slogan “San Francisco’s Most Awarded Pizza” North Beach Pizza serves pizza, Pasta, Salads, and Sandwiches. People come for the pizza, so we went straight to the draw. They have a huge delivery business.

Picks:
None
OK:
Buffalo Wings ($7.45, Free with $40 delivery order-ECoupon) - Were a little zesty but edible. Better than the pizza. Good quantity.
Pans:
North Beach Special pizza Large 16in ($26.75) . It has Pepperoni, green pepper, sausage, mushrooms and onions. Very soggy in the middle, very thick crust on the edge. Lots of toppings. This was a pretty below average pizza, edible, but nothing special. The similar styled pizza at Toto’s is a better bet. If you like artisan or deep dish style pizza, look elsewhere.
Aloha Pizza (Mini $17.45) This pizza has Canadian bacon, ham, and pineapple. An acquired taste indeed. Again the toppings tasted ok, but the crust was soggy and edge too thick.
We tested their delivery. We ordered online and called an hour later only to find their online ordering was not working! They didn’t even contact us. We were told it would be about an hour and half for delivery, but it turned out to be over 2 hours. We would avoid delivery at all costs and try eating in restaurant if you really want to try it.
They have several wine and beer options. No dessert options.
You can order online for delivery, but beware. They have an electronic coupon for free buffalo wings with $40 orders. Also coupons are in the phone book for certain days.
