El Tonayense is a Mexican restaurant with lots of mobile food trucks throughout San Francisco. They have been featured on PBS’s Check Please TV show. They are parked on the side of the Best Buy at 14th St and Harrison in San Francisco so we decided to give them a try even though we were not hungry.

Picks:
Carne Asada Taco ($1.75) came on a fresh tortilla with good quantities of very delicious meat, onions, cilantro, salsa, lime wedge, and some sauce. We can see why people like this place, this was better than most Mexican restaurants.

Took about 5 minutes to get a taco. You have to eat on the sidewalk or take it away, so this is not a conventional place for food.
If we had a truck in the area, we would definitely consider getting food from them again. Cash only.
Typical locations: 14th St/Harrison, 19th St/Harrison, 22nd St/Harrison, 16th St/Shotwell, Jerrold/Phelps.
