Ikes Place San Francisco Exterior Decor

Ike’s Place has been serving sandwiches since 2007 with lines out the door almost all the time. Ike Shehadeh’s believes that sandwiches should only be made with the finest ingredients and the utmost quality control. They added a Redwood City location in July, 2009 and a Stanford location.

Ikes Place San Francisco Dirty Sauce

Dirty Sauce

All sandwiches are made to order, and come with Ike’s “(soon-to-be) patented Dirty Sauce”, Ike’s house garlic aioli sauce, made with 20 herbs and spices, and some of Ike’s own secret ingredients. Dirty Sauce is spread on the tops of Ike’s sandwiches and baked with the bread, turning it into Dirty Garlic Bread, and then re-spread on the bottoms, just for that extra flavor. They have a vegan version of the sauce without eggs.

Ikes Place San Francisco Menu

Decor, Vibe – Ike’s Place is pretty much a to-go spot and has only two small tables outside. Most of folks in line were locals in their 20′s and 30′s with a smattering of older tourists.

Ikes Place San Francisco Nacho Boy Sandwich

5- Nacho Boy ($8.98) Hot Roast Beef, Mushrooms, Avocado, Swiss was a good sized excellent warm sandwich with lots of meat and fresh bread and veggies.

Ikes Place San Francisco Mission PZ Burger

11- Mission P.Z. Burger ($7.97) ½ Pound of Angus Beef, Dirty Sauce, Cheese was a long hamburger sandwich cooked to a medium. Good flavor with all the fresh ingredients blending together with the Dirty sauce and nice bun. Not a traditional burger but still very good.

Ikes Place San Francisco Menage A Trois Sandwich

111- Menage a Trois ($8.98) Halal Chicken Breast, Real Honey, Honey Mustard, BBQ, PepperJack, Swiss, Smoked Gouda was very messy but worth it. Lots of warm BBQ chicken inside a fresh bun with a slight cheese flavor.

Ike’s Place had a 15 minutes wait to order, and another 15 for the food. Call ahead and place your order to reduce waiting times. Sandwiches are not the cheapest around, but are high on quality. We have no problem recommending this joint for some good sandwiches.
