Kabul Afghan Cuisine serves Afghani cuisine on the San Francisco Peninsula with locations in Burlingame and San Carlos. We dined for lunch at the newer Burlingame location. They do have some options for vegetarians.
Decor, Vibe – This location across from the Caltrain station has served as home for 3 different restaurants in a year. Nice decor with lots of regional artifacts and decorative pieces. Place was half full for lunch with mostly locals taking a lunch break.

Picks:
Katchalu ($4.55) Turnover stuffed with ground lamb, mashed potatoes, onion and herbs. Sambosa-E-Goushti ($4.55) Fried pastries filled with ground lamb, and chickpeas.
Kabul’S Combination Kabab ($15.50) Skewer of lamb kabob and skewer of chicken kabob, served with pallaw was a healthy sized lunch portion. The meat was tender and flavorful although the lamb was on the well done side. The Pallaw basmeti rice had a slight hint of cardamum spice to it. The dish came with a non descript small lettuce salad and some warm Afghani bread that seemed microwaved.
