Gordo Taqeria San Francisco Exterior

Gordo Taqueria is a long standing Mexican Restaurant in the San Francisco Bay Area, with 5 locations. We went to the original Clement st location in San Francisco that opened in 1977. Burritoeater ranks it highly.

Gordo Taqeria San Francisco Menu

Decor, Vibe – Tiny store with pretty generic decor. Small counters for people to sit at. Most people were getting to go. Parking here is almost impossible most of the time.

Picks:
None

OK:

Gordo Taqeria San Francisco Beef Burrito

Beef Burrito ($4.15) was of decent size and had a balance of beef, beans, and rice. No special beef flavors. I would not put it in the top category with places like El Norteno or El Toyanese. When they list beef and not carne asada, you are forewarned.

Pans:

Gordo Taqeria San Francisco Chicken Quesadilla

Chicken Quesdailla ($4.15) with a flour tortilla was pan fried to provide some crispy texture. The whole package did not have much taste and was not very good. Pancho Village does a much better job.

Gordo’s Taqueria took about 3 minutes to get the food together. Food was pretty average but cheap, still it is hard to recommend them.
