Polkers Gourmet Burgers San Francisco Exterior

Polker’s Gourmet Burgers is located on the outskirts of Russian Hill in the Polk Street neighborhood shopping district.
This restaurant is very popular for breakfast. You will see lines out the door, most weekend mornings. We came for the burger, but they serve lots of other food.

Decor, Vibe – Old school booth seating by the walls, funky artwork on the walls. Locals of all ages were getting food here.

Picks:

Polkers Gourmet Burgers San Francisco Cheese Burger

Cheddar Burger ($8.50) was served with a ton of delicious curly fries. Meat was cooked to our desired medium rare and super juicy.
This was one of the better burgers we have had lately. The bun was a little stiff and all the sesame seeds were a bit overpowering.

Polker’s Gourmet Burgers served up a very good burger, very quickly. The prices are reasonable and the serve was decent, no wonder people line up.
They have take out, breakfast is served till 3pm, and burgers are served from 11am onwards.

  2. Gioia Pizzeria, Berkeley | Foodnut.com Says:

[...] Gioia is a top rated Pizza place in North Berkeley.  It has been there since 2004. As they put it: “Gioia Pizzeria takes the best of pizza traditions from the old world and the new. Classic flavors and ingredients such as artisanally made sausage, fresh mozzarella cheese and arugula come together in inspired traditional ways, seasoned with the influence of Bay Area kitchens such as Zuni Café, Chez Panisse and Oliveto” Gioia is a small hole in the wall with minimal counter seating. The place specializes in thin crust pizza and is known for local, organic ingredients. It was rated as a top pizza place by Michael Bauer.
