Rather than create separate reviews for Ice Cream shops this review will include all Ice Cream Shop reviews in one long page. Sorry no chains like Baskin or Cold Stone here..
Bi-Rite Creamery, San Francisco
Bi-Rite Creamery is committed to producing ice cream in a responsible and sustainable manner. They use Straus Family Farms dairy, local products, and use no artificial ingredients.
Their flavors change daily and they usually have non dairy sorbet and soy ice cream. There is a line out the door most of the time. Single cones are $3.25, double $4.75, pints $7.99.
We have had their Salted Carmel several times and find it a uniquely perfect blend of salt and sweetness. The Blood Orange sorbet is very good. The Soy Chocolate was not that tasty. Pomegranate popsicles are refreshingly tasty.

Bombay Ice Creamery, San Francisco
Bombay Ice Creamery is an interesting small Indian shop that sells ice cream in San Francisco and Pleasanton. The Valencia location is a set up from a hole in the wall. They have some exotic flavors like Cardamom, Saffron Rose, Chai, and the tropical fruit Chiku.
They have mainstays like Marble Fudge and Cookie Dough. Single scoops are $3, Doubles $4.95. They also sell Chaat (snacks) like Chai, Samosas, and Puris. They only allow 2 samples.
We tried a Cardamom ice cream which was not super creamy and not super heavily Cardamom flavored, making it more mainstream. The Star War flavor was like blue bubble gum for kids. Mint Chocolate Chip was pretty standard fair. All in all decent ice cream, but not super premium. Worth going if you like exotic flavors.

Humphry Slocombe Ice Cream, San Francisco
Humphry Slocombe Ice Cream is a new boutique ice cream place with many interesting flavors that change often. Friendly service. They allowed us to sample whatever we wanted, so be sure to do the same.
They have Ice Cream, Non dairy Sorbets, and Sherberts. Single scoops can have 1-2 flavors and are $3.25, Doubles can have 2-3 flavors and are $4.50.
We tried a Valrhona fudgesicle sorbet that was super chocolaty and very smooth, like an ice cream. Thai Chili Lime Sorbet was interesting, it starts cool and sweet, then tails off into heat.
Secret Breakfast ice cream was bourbon and corn flakes, really weird but good. They also have a Balsamic caramel that is similar to Bi-Rite’s Salted Carmel. All in all a place worthy of a visit. Some of their combinations like Pistachio Bacon were just weird and did not even taste they had like Bacon.
