Boulettes Larder is located in the San Francisco Ferry Building and means – “Glimpse into the heart of a working, professional kitchen framed by a retail counter where personal attention is offered by a skilled and responsive staff. A useful, compelling and charming epicerie with discriminatingly selected ingredients prepared to varying degrees of time-saving readiness.”
They have everything from chicken stock to cookies to rack of lamb. They have food to go (Pastries, Lunch, Dinner items) all the time, and table service with a different menus, Mon through Fri, and Sunday. We went there on a Saturday.
Decor, Vibe – Homey french styled oasis with big open kitchen. Lots of tourists and local foodies of all ages were there.

Picks:
English muffins ($2.25 ea) were excellent. Thomas’ is blown off the map. Very high quality and perfectly made with eggs.
Kugelhopf ($6.50) was an interesting pastry that orginates from the Alsace region of France. A delicious brioche filled with almonds and bacon, making it an all in one breakfast item.
Hot Chocolate ($4.75) was more of a melted chocolate bar. This is some serious good stuff that can put hair on your chest.

Boulettes Larder’s service was very friendly and accomodating. The place has garnered high ratings and is a favorite of local chefs. Be sure to add this to the must visit list when you come to the Food heaven Ferry building. The to go items we ordered were all excellent. We cannot wait to try a sit down meal here.
