Daiquiri Dicks is a popular beach front restaurant serving a variety of cuisine.
It is located in the heart of the city and is highly recommended by the Fodor’s Guide. An English version of the menu is available.
Decor, Vibe – Beach front restaurant with a great view. Lots of tourists and well heeled locals.
Menu Pictures:
Dessert Menu
Good Cocktails – Daiquiri and Mojito
Picks:
Whole Snapper ($210 pesos, 10:1 US$) – Wow, just look at the picture. Huge portion, fresh, and cooked well.
Giant Prawns Curry ($255) with coconut milk and fresh herbs – Lots of big shrimps in a really good coconut sauce. Finished with white rice.
Hazelnut crusted Chicken ($269 prix fix) with raspberry sauce, served over mixed green and grilled sweet corn. Very delicious and surprisingly tender chicken.
Cuban Bean Soup ($65) – A little spicy but very delicious and tender beans.
Grilled Veggies ($269 prix fix) – Wished there were more of these delicious vegetables. A lite vinaigrette covered them. Some items where a little burned.
OK:
Grilled Flank Steak ($269 prix fix) served over cole slaw with grilled sweet corn was fairly tastless. The quantity of meat was ok.
Pass:
None
This restaurant serves very good food with reasonable service, all in a beautiful atmosphere. Daiquiri Dicks suprised us as few beach front restaurants have food as good as the views.
