Why did we dine here? – B-Side BBQ is the sister restaurant to the every popular Brown Sugar Kitchen in Oakland. We liked that restaurant and are big BBQ fans.
Insider Tip – They’ll be open later in the coming weeks.
Cuisine – BBQ
Location – Oakland
Opened – 2012
Service – B-Side BBQ is a small restaurant and had reasonable service from friendly waitresses.
Verdict – B-Side BBQ may not be the most authentic BBQ establishment in the Bay Area, but serves up some solid food options.
B-Side BBQ Signature Dishes – Beef brisket
B-Side BBQ’s Menu is fairly short with 8 options including one for vegetarians
B-Side BBQ Food Picks:
Smoked Brown Sugar Rubbed Brisket ($10 half order) looked great. Juicy and tender goodness.
Pulled Pork Sandwich on Semifreddi’s Roll choice of sauce mustard, or traditional ($8.50) was a large sandwich topped off with a ton coleslaw. Lots of tender pork and a decent bun.
Jerk Spiced Baby Backs ($9 half order) was a bit small, we would order a full order next time.
OK: (Order if you like this dish)
None
Pans: (We would not reorder these dishes)
None
